September 27, 2010

It’s the end of September already – just one month away from the November 2nd election and we continue to be out on the street, knocking on doors and talking to voters in the 138th about my campaign for State Representative.

We have several events planned over the month of October, including a fund raiser this next Tuesday, October 5th at Sunshine Corners, where I first announced my candidacy last February.  Billy Long, Republican for the 7th District House seat will be our special guest and keynote speaker that evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m.  I hope to see many voters in the 138th, not only to learn more about Billy and his message to Washington, but also to get to know me and my positions on the issues better.

On the 12th of October, I am hosting a business fundraising lunch at Cartoon’s on Glenstone. Business owners not just from the 138th District, but those throughout the area have been invited to this event.  Speaker of the House Ron Richard will be discussing upcoming legislation to help local businesses.

Finally, on the 19th of October, my Team will be serving Jane’s favorite sloppy joe recipe for supper between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. at Republican Headquarters on Glenstone in the Country Club Shopping Center.  Lt. Governor Peter Kinder will be attending this event.

This shapes up to be a very busy month as the pressure builds to get out the vote on November 2nd. Please try to attend some of these events if you can and tell everyone you know how important it is to vote this November.
