Running for the Campaign
With two weeks to go until election day I wanted to thank one of my friends who has literally gone the extra mile for my campaign. Todd Smith is a creative actor and local business owner and a great friend for over 25 years. He came to me with an idea for a way to advertise the campaign that is the most unique method I have ever seen. Todd is a runner and is always looking for something to make his runs more interesting. He found a three wheeled running baby carriage and had campaign signs made to fit it and after adding a 50 pound bag of rock salt for ballast began running in the 138th District promoting the campaign. He even ran from Phelps Park to a campaign event at Sunshine and Campbell to promote the event. There have been many wonderful volunteers helping with our campaign but I don’t know of any that have given more “sweat equity” to the campaign than Todd.
